Signal Hill advised Laureate Education in the acquisition of its 20% minority interest in Universidad de las Americas (UDLA). UDLA based in Santiago, Chile, was established in 1988. The fully accredited university offers its students undergraduate degree programs, delivered at seven campus locations: Providencia, La Florida, Maipu, Santiago Centro, Concepción, Quito (UDLA Ecuador) and Vina del Mar.
